The Firm
Counsel without an audience.
Villasenor Hope Ventures was founded on a simple observation: the most consequential decisions in a company's life are usually made with the least honest advice in the room.
Why we exist
Founded on the conviction that advice should be worth taking.
Villasenor Hope Ventures was founded by Gerrell Jones after years inside the advisory world, watching the same failure repeat: advice shaped more by the desire to keep the relationship than by the desire to be right. Engagements grew long. Answers grew hedged. The client paid for analysis and received ambiguity.
He built a different firm around a different bargain. A small number of engagements, taken only when the decision is genuinely consequential. A principal who does the work himself rather than delegating it to a bench. A fixed fee agreed before the work begins, so that no hour is ever billed against the courage of a conclusion.
The result is counsel without an audience: advice that is free to be unwelcome, because its only obligation is to the quality of the decision. That is the firm Gerrell set out to build, and the standard every engagement is held to.

Every engagement is led by the firm's founder — in the first meeting and in the last. We take a limited number of engagements at a time precisely so that never changes.

Founder & Principal
Strategy, Operations, and Governance
Gerrell Jones founded Villasenior Hope Ventures to give leadership teams what he found missing in most advisory work: counsel with a single obligation — the quality of the decision. He leads every engagement personally, from the first conversation to the final working session, across the firm's four practices.

How we operate
The convictions that govern the firm.
The principal does the work
Every engagement is led by the founder — never staffed out to a bench of juniors learning on your budget.
Selectivity is the product
We take a limited number of engagements at a time. Scarcity is not a growth strategy; it is how counsel stays worth taking.
Fixed fees, agreed up front
Engagements are priced on scope, not hours, so that no hour is ever billed against the courage of a conclusion.
Counsel free to be unwelcome
Our only obligation is to the quality of the decision — which is why our advice sometimes costs us the engagement.

Bring us the decision you keep deferring.
A first consultation is a working session, not a sales call. You will leave with a clearer articulation of your problem — whether or not we work together.
